Situated in the heart of an archetypal English market town, this project transformed one of three interlinking office buildings — largely rebuilt in the late 1980s — into a collection of four luxury apartments, each approximately 1,760 sq ft. Designed specifically for downsizers, these homes offer practical, low-maintenance living without compromising on space, style, or quality.
Our involvement included full interior design and space planning, working alongside a complete design team for The Porter Property Fund to ensure the development met the high standards and lifestyle requirements of its target market.
Clean, Contemporary Interiors
The interior scheme is deliberately restrained, creating a light, neutral canvas for future owners to personalise. Soft, luminous walls are paired with white-washed oak floors, providing warmth and cohesion throughout each apartment while maintaining a sense of calm and simplicity.
Designed for Flexible, Comfortable Living
The layouts were planned to ensure practicality and ease of movement, with open-plan living spaces and intelligently designed storage solutions. The neutral palette and considered finishes allow owners to bring their own personality into each apartment, while the high-quality specification ensures a turnkey-ready home.
A Successful Residential Transformation
By combining architectural adaptation, thoughtful interior design, and high-end finishes, this project demonstrates how a former office building can be transformed into desirable, modern apartments for downsizers. Delivered in collaboration with The Porter Property Fund, the result is a collection of homes that balance elegance, practicality, and flexibility — perfectly suited to the lifestyle of their new owners.
